We’re also about making a positive social and environmental impact – which includes becoming a net-zero business, helping people get a foot on the work ladder, caring for our communities, and offering balanced food choices.     You won’t be surprised to learn that at KFC, the chicken matters. It’s who we are, and what we do. We’re really proud to lead the way in our sector on welfare standards – and have just been awarded top spot in World Animal Protection’s Pecking Order rankings for 2021.

     

    Our Planet


    We’re hungry to become a fully circular, zero waste business by 2035, as well as becoming a net zero carbon business by 2040 at the latest – and we recently launched a partnership with University of Liverpool’s Zero Carbon Research Institute to help us get there. In addition to that, we’re taking steps towards more responsible sourcing and tackling food waste by keeping the skin on our fries (who knew!).     We’re committed to becoming a zero waste business. From working towards making 100% of our packaging recyclable or compostable to saving an extra 7,000 tonnes of food waste, we’re on our way. And that’s only the start of it.

    We’re taking action on climate by committing to being Net Zero by 2040 at the latest. We know that running a busy restaurant like KFC takes a lot of energy (and we’re not just talking about elbow grease), so we’ve been introducing energy-saving measures and gadgets across all our restaurants.
